Acting on behalf of U+I, Prime Retail successfully disposed of Crown Glass shopping centre in Nailsea and the remaining two units at The Killingworth Centre near Newcastle for a total of £19m.

Crown Glass Shopping Centre, comprising 90,000 sq ft of shops in the Bristol suburb of Nailsea, sold for £11.5m to Praxis. Waitrose, Boots, WH Smith and New Look are among its tenants.

The two units at Killingworth, a thriving commuter town outside Newcastle, are let to Matalan and Home Bargains. The virtual freehold of the property sold to Pearland Properties for £7.5m and follows last year’s sale of the adjacent shopping centre to Evolve Estates.

Prime Retail originally bought The Killingworth Centre for U+I in 2015 and was retained as letting agent. It continues this role for Evolve.
